Pulp Heroes - Tom Strong - Leigh

Very much a modern version of a pulp character Tom Strong is one of my favourite comics of all time.
While doing a full colour version of the piece I left the shadow layer visible and it looked better and ran with it.

The Phantom - Fast Eddy

Yes like Andy's pick the Phantom had a pitiful movie. But the comics were excellent with great stories and amazing artwork. I built mine using an olympic swimmer as a reference for the diving pose and the rest I just drew to fit in with that. It took me f@#$*n ages because I got torn between realistic or true pulp style but I got there in the end!

The Shadow - Andy

"Who knows what evil lurks in the hearts of men? The Shadow knows!" I don't have extensive knowledge of the Shadow, save for having seen the terrible movie (which I'm sure we can agree is every bit as good as the Phantom movie) but there is something I really dig about his look that I have poorly attempted to capture here.

Flash! - Egor

I had fun checking out all the retro Pulpy Heroes. Hopefully will get around to doing more of these soon.

Theme 47 - Pulp Heroes

Posting a little early this week.
Pulp Heroes of times gone by. Im talking about the heroes before they were 'super'. Days of the newspaper and radios of black and white movies. Goggle Pulp Heroes and see what comes up, but Im talking about the Lone Ranger, Zorro, Green Hornet, Buck Rogers..... you get the idea.
Have fun guys, look forward to seeing what you come up with.
