Ninja Mayhem - Egor

Here it is, the one everyones been waiting for Snake Eyes VS Storm Shadow! The two crazy ninja kids are the yin and yang of the GIJoe universe. They are the good and evil of the two teams and I really think growing up you were either a Snake Eyes man or Storm Shadow fan.
Personally I thought both were cool but at a crunch would pick Storm Shadow. Both both were mysterious both were ninja badasses and seemed liked few other characters could get the best over either one of these guys. Unfortunately I kinda think both these guys suffer from over saturation and marketing and as a result lost there edge a bit.

Cat Fight - Egor

Special two for one deal! Probably the most popular female characters in the Joe universe. Crossbows and funky European accents PLUS weird love triangles.

Night Viper - Egor

Again, Im not sure what it is about the Cobra figures - particularly the Viper range, but they do seem to have the coolest looks and accessories. The Night Viper came with a open/close visor with a massive long scope thing attached to it. He also had this sweet looking night rifle that could be attached to his upper leg. This guy was seriously cool.

Techno Viper - Egor

Just like the Hydro Viper - the Techno Vipers were pretty damn cool and came with a heap of accessories, one of my all time favourite version of viper.

Hydro Viper - Egor

This guy was awesome. He had a crazy demon looking mask and webbed flipper feet. The super cool thing was his right hand was webbed - he was pretty cool. Hydro Viper also happened to be the very first GIJoe I brought and like a gate way to drugs this guy got me hooked.

Nemisis Enforcer - Egor

Nemisis Enforcer - Big Grunty and Purple. Few Joes can go toe to toe with Cobra's mute monster.

Golobulus - Egor

Supreme ruler of Cobra La - Golobulus voiced by Burgess Meredith in the '87 carton movie (thats the Penguin folks) Golobulus was half man half serpent half crab? Anyway he was pretty cool.

Raptor - Egor

Raptor - Cobra Falconer! This guy is crazy cool! A former Tax agent? turned Falconer, turned Evil Agent of Cobra. I love this figure, awesome cool.

Budo - Egor

Looks its the Joes resident kick ass martial artws expert - Snake Ey... I mean Quick Ki..... no no thats not right. Its Budo the Samurai soldier. Budo was one of the first GIJoes I brought so he holds a soft spot for me.

Zandar and Zarana - Egor

Continuing the GIJoe round of sketches we have crazy Dreadnok siblings Zandar and Zarana. I was a fan of the bad guys as a kid and particularly the Zartan and the Dreadnoks. It wasn't until I was older than I saw the influences which (I assume) the Dreadnoks where drawn from - think Mad Max extras who formed an 80's big hair metal band.

Sgt. Slaughter - Egor

I've gone all nostalgic recently and brought up a pile of 80's GIJoe figures on ebay. To justify these sometimes expensive purchases I've decided to sketch up a few of the more interesting characters.
We lead the way with Sgt Slaughter - the toughest GIJoe ever. At ease Maggots.
