Thor! What a great subject! I was really excited by this theme. I didn't want my depiction of Thor to be based on the marvel comic version, I wanted him to appear as a real Viking may have looked back in the day. I also wanted to have fun with a dynamic pose. Enjoy!

A few days up in the hills got me really craving doing this week's piece and i found a few hours on monday to knock this one out. Here's the main man in his classic costume for no other reason than for I only had one reference pic and this costume was it.

The other subject of this weeks piece is Thor's mighty hammer, Mjolnir.

This weeks theme is being posted a little early due the long Easter weekend / Anzac break.

To celebrate the release of the new movie this weeks theme is the mighty Thor.

Feel free to go old school mythology but dont rule out the awesome Kirby designed Marvel character.
