Astro Boy - Andy

Alright, this one is late. I've had the flu this last week and for some reason I just couldn't draw that whole time. This is probably the fifth attempt at drawing Astro and I'm still not happy with it. In the end, however, it seemed that not posting it because I wasn't happy with the final product would be pointless and this way I can look back and say 'yeah, sick that week.' This one also has a colour version that you may see one day.

This is my spin on Astro Boy. Its kinda tricky adding your own touch to a character that is so iconic and heavily stylized.

Astro Boy vs. The Peacekeeper

I haven't read any Astro Boy comix, I know that's blasphemy for an artist! And I haven't seen the movies! I know, I know! But I gave it a go anyway, I did this in Photoshop but regretted it about half way through. These characters are made of geometric shapes and it would have been way quicker in Illustrator, anyway live and learn :)

Comic, Cartoon or god awful CGI movie. Everybody knows and loves the little robot boy who could fly - and if I remember correctly had a machine gun in his butt? or did I dream that.
