Very much a modern version of a pulp character Tom Strong is one of my favourite comics of all time.
While doing a full colour version of the piece I left the shadow layer visible and it looked better and ran with it.
The short and skinny:
Each week Houdini's talented contributors will visually inteprete a chosen theme. New themes are posted every Friday.
The idea to to keep it short and sharp; keep illustration time down to a few hours.
Applicants need only apply.
Replicants please don't kill us.
Yeah way to run with it! It's the advantage of working in layers that you could come across that type of thing. Nice drawing to start with as well.
ReplyDeleteNoooo! stay away from the light! Seriously great pic Leigh, I think this is one of my favs from you in a while. Im guessing you've got photoshop up and running?
ReplyDeleteLove it. He has such a simple yet bold costume. The light is great. He could maybe be a bit bulkier, but if anything this makes the piece seem much more realistic. Great work.
