Mythology - Icarus - Dean

Hi all - well it has been a while - I've missed this!!! I hope you fellow escape artists are well and have had a craking 2011 so far. I got inspired by Dan this time and thought - Hell, stop feeling bad about being busy on other things and missing a bunch of weeks and do something....so I looked over the old topics and the mythology one resonated most with me. I had actually started this one at the time but never wound it up, so tonight i did and here it is. That foolish Icarus, thinking that clagging some feathers on some sticks was going to help him fly like a bird...pfft.

  1. Well done son, outstanding! Aside from the rich painted colours, I really like the angel you've chosen - great perspective.
Id love to see one of your pieces at various stages of development. Heck that would be awesome from everyone.... hmmm may work that into a theme soon.

  2. I like the movement in this one. The pose indicates he's desperately thrashing around for a bit of lift! The blurred edges help convey this too. Excellent Dean!
