For some reason I had plenty of sketches for this theme. I ended up mashing two of them into one composition. As an unplanned retro fit it kinda works, sort of. Anyway I felt like drawing a barbarian type character so Heman fit the bill and Beastman was one of the first action figures I remember owning as a kid.

This is cool, man! You wouldn't know you 'mashed' them together it seems like a perfect fit. Well done!
ReplyDeleteYeah you wouldn't know, it ended up being a really cool composition. I don't know much about this Manga Studio, is it much like Photoshop or Corel? Or is it more tailored to comic art?
ReplyDeleteyea love your beastman, he looks cool as!
ReplyDeleteIt's a program pretty much just for inking artwork. It's great cause it auto tapers the brush for you so you can achieve beautiful think-thin lines easily, which is rather hard in photoshop.
ReplyDeleteYeah what Andy said. From what I can tell its also pretty good for laying out pages. You can sketch, ink, apply zip tones. I wouldnt use it for colour, leave that to photoshop. But as Andy said the greatest thing is the varying lines weights you can get with the brushes, far superior to anything photoshop has to offer.
ReplyDeleteHere's the kicker I brought it online for just $30. Had a discount and the dollar was strong. Well worth it.
Hey Heath very cool.
ReplyDeletereminds me of Paul Pope's work (he did the Adam Strange Wednesday Comics story)
